Ashé Umbrella Project
The Ashé Umbrella Project · Umbrella Covenant Fund

We rent umbrellas to build one.

A covenant of protection over the innocence of every child — for kids caught in high-conflict custody battles, dangerous households, untreated crises, and the cracks of a system that too often loses them.

The system watches the child. We pay the people who watch the system.
Your gift funds independent guardians — trained, paid, and free to speak without fear for their careers — plus safe reporting channels for kids, community safe grounds, rapid community case review by retired judges and law students, and the campaign to put cameras in courtrooms. The covenant: no child returns to a home they were abused in.

Every level of shade counts. Choose yours.

The Umbrella Covenant Fund is received by the Ashé Sanctuary & Empowerment Foundation (nonprofit), 500 Grand Ave, Oakland, CA 94610 — the charitable arm of the 500 Grand Live family. Secure online giving is coming online now; until then every pledge is confirmed personally by our team with giving details and a written receipt. Impact descriptions are illustrative program designations based on our published program plan; funds are applied where the need for children's protection is greatest. For tax questions, please consult your advisor — documentation is provided with every gift. The Ashé Justice Center provides rapid community case review and advocacy; it is not a court and does not provide legal representation.
